Lol I was reaching with the DMX line, I realize the shock value thing and it's not that bad of a line I guess, but necrophilia is not my thing so the line just seems like a dumb thing to say. That line just always stuck out to me as after someone pointed it out.

But the BIG lines have been addressed numerous times on this forum, I didn't have to go searching around for those. And as an Eminem stan I didn't have to search around for that either lol. I just can't feel good about blasting music that's blatantly gay. Try blasting Insane in your car with your windows down and tell me that doesn't come across as a shytty song to listen to (or with headphones or w/e, it just comes across as a bad song especially due to the content). Especially when I'm so used to hip hop often being pretty homophopic with its lyrics. Those lines just come across as cringeworthy and bad whenever listening to them, so therefore to me they are bad lyrics - which is what this thread is about.

The best example I can think of to explain my point of view is with a movie genre that I'm never going to like. Say a chick flick for example - I have zero interest in those kinds of movies. So if I try watching a chick flick, it's just automatically going to come off as a bad movie to me because that's not what I'm into. Same thing with homosexual lyrics - I'm not into that, so those kind of lyrics just automatically come off as bad lyrics to me.

Also something having "shock value" does nothing for me. Like saying some off the wall shyt doesn't suddenly make it good/enjoyable just for the sake of being weird.
