Doesn't Amazon do auctions too. I never tried it but I used to hear about former eBay sellers that said it was a good alternative.

Amazon pays you out on the 1st and 15th :upsetfavre:

I sold some Beats by Dres for a $80 come up, shyt took damn near a month to get the money :aicmon:

and everything requires a real SKU, so its real hard to sell custom shyt.

you don't get paid instantly anymore? a 3 week wait?

:aicmon:

Yep. If you not a long time user, they hold the funds for 21 days. If you ship with a tracking number, they'll release your money in a week. eBay shyts on new sellers because if you're trying to sell a lot of shyt and become a power seller, you can't unless you have upfront money. The whole point of eBay was for people who needed to sell shyt to make money but the way it's set up now, if you sell a big ass item like a TV, you gotta foot that $50 shipping or whatever amount it would cost to ship that big azz box because the money from the sale is tied up for three fukkin weeks :snoop:

How much of a cut do they take out of the sale. Cause another thing I hate about eBay is that you gotta pay them for the sale and also through PayPal.

I'm glad I've sold enough stuff to this point(and have a verified PayPal account) so I dont have to wait that long to get paid. just 3 days after its delivered(ALWAYS PAY FOR THE DELIVERY CONFIRMATION!!! its not that much)

Always insure whatever you sell too because on eBay if something goes wrong the seller always gets screwed. I've never suffered a Paypal chargeback but I hear they happen. PayPal will go as far as to pull money out of whatever bank account you have linked to them to remedy the situation.

Anyway eBay final value fees are so high now it's not even worth selling on there.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Their customer service is THE WORST. And they're mostly in the Philippines.

But yeah Ebay is basically a buyers site. Unless you're a major company or manufacture selling a lot of product, what's the fukking point.

I remember back in 2002, 2003 thought :wow: Ebay was like the wild wild west. You could scam people like crazy and Ebay couldn't and didn't know how the handle the complaints :russ:

Yeah I just use Craigslist.
Craigslist is worst than eBay due to low ball offers and people flaking on buys. At least on eBay you can get fair market value for stuff even with a middle man there. On CL people simply wanna pay pennies on the dollar for what something is really worth.

You have more flexibility with craigslist. And besides.

1. You only get low balled if you allow it.
2. You don't have to go with the first offer.
3. It's local so you don't have to wait to get paid.
4. You don't have to pay any fees.
5. You don't have to worry about disputes.

1. You gel lowballed anyway. They will say I only have X would you take that?
2. I don't
3. But I have to wait a long time to sell anything unless I sell it at a really low price, worse than my eBay take would be after fees.
4. Doesn't matter because you still end up taking less just to move something.
5. I've done about 70 transactions on eBay and have had no disputes. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I don't worry about it.

Unless you're selling an iPhone, flagship Android phone, or tablet Craigslist is rough. The buyers rule with an iron fist on CL.
I've got my Xbox One on there now and I can't even get $220 for it. On eBay they sell for about $265. even after fees I'd get about $230 on eBay on CL my best offer was $200.

Buy on Craigslist, sell on eBay.

That's always been my strategy. As long as you have nice looking stuff, you will always make a profit on eBay even after the 13% they take with eBay and PayPal fees.

I've bought several laptops (especially macbooks) at dirt cheap prices and sold on eBay for quick flips. I am more about speed than anything else, so trying to squeeze the most profit off each item will exhaust anyone.
