I think this is unfair. How much did you see Mike Pence in 2017? Hell, how much did you see Biden in 2009? Obama put him in charge of the stimulus bill and he was basically in DC working, not much travel. By comparison Harris has done far more traveling but overall has been in DC.

A Vice President is only as powerful as the president makes him/her. Modern history wise we didn’t have a truly powerful VP until Cheney and then Biden, because they had good relationships with their presidents. Flip side Trump treated Pence like a chump for most of his term, until he dumped the Covid stuff on him.
