I'm gonna say yeah, but it isn't tied only to looks and money. It's also separated by upbringing, background, social circles, connections, interests, and opportunities. All of these things do factor into who you are, how you view yourself, and how others view you.

You can have money and still not know many people. You can come from a nice area, good education, and have a great job, and absolutely not be shyt. You can lack personality. You can be selfish.

For every desirable trait, most people have multiple undesirable ones.

Some people really have very few to none. I think people like that would probably be the ones most would say are out of their league.

But that doesn't mean they wouldn't try to shoot their shot.
