I wish that Kellz did some time back then….

They wouldn’t have tried him again on that charge.

Kellz would have smoked mad nikkas in a verzuz

MJ dead
Kellz locked up

In this era, Kellz would have been singing on some trap beats.

Imagine Kellz making some drill tracks

Chris Brown and Usher are the last of a dying breed in this era.

At least they still have a youthful vibe

There’s a void becuz we should be in Kellz flower giving season right now. A true R&B legend got cancelled. He should be getting the lifetime achievement awards and classics being played all over 30 and up radio
We had that save the lifetime achievement stuff before the doc. Music was still shyt. And if we keeping it a buck he contributed to that. In a similar way to how Jordan had everybody going iso and chucking and Pac had everybody being super thug. Obviously there was more to them than that but those are the aspects that were most palatable and duplicable. Everybody copying the raunchy, basically rapping while singing shyt but without the true soulful artistry.

To me there has been a void in R&B since the primary focus was shifted to individual singers and they shifted the focus away from song writers, the entire group, including the band. The songs used to be more positive too and they used to cover a wider range of topics that regular people could identify with.

Songs like these never get old or go out of fashion.

There was a void when R Kelly dropped that random ass Christmas album :dead: .

shyt is and will forever be dead due to:

  1. fukking>>>>>loving
  2. The rappers being the r and b singers
  3. Neo soul selling itself short when the ball was in the court (Jill and em hating that term, but allowing cacs like Joss Stone, Hiatus Kaiote, Moonchild, etc take over
  4. Black folks preferring TP2.com over the chocolate factory
  5. Black folks turning their noses when Usher wanted to make baby making music
  6. Black folks turning their noses at Carl Thomas's second album
  7. Black artists not putting up a fight with the suits to make that music to stick to your ribs
  8. Cacs that treated r and b like musical kryptonite and spent years trying to sabotage the movement
The game was better when black folks check the cacs fukking up the music, but we allowed goofies like Color Me Bad and countless others in the cookout (only Jon B and Bobby Caldwell could make it because they are black in spirit)

Either way Kellz was one of our legends and his presence is missed. I’m not talking about new music either. No one cares about Mary’s new music. When Usher had his residency people came to hear his classics.
