Once I get the stillness of the mind then I should be able to access the unconscious I'd assume.

Because yes there's thinking on a conscious level, but there must also be thinking on an unconscious level, it just isn't so refined. The stilling of the mind during meditation seems to be the stilling of the conscious mind. We're not able to recognize unconscious thoughts because we have a conscious mind that works simultaneously with our unconscious mind as we operate on a conscious level (which may consist of things like our daily duties) but if we're to put our unconscious mind on the forefront by stilling our conscious mind while we are conscious (meditation), with some sort tool or even direct purposeful thinking, we should be access our unconscious mind.

Now this is a theory of course but I think that with purpose and stillness. Perhaps we could be on to something.

then I don't have to try to unlock my unconsciousness if someone else has unlocked theirs? I can just share their open unconscious right?

You can't fully participate in the collective subconscious without unlocking your own subconscious first. Your subconscious is the bridge to the collective. So no to your question.

It's like the present moment, we're all living in it, we can't do anything about that, but to feel rooted in it is a different story. The past/future is valued more so that is what the mind is always going to. It really is an interesting thing when you get a glimpse of nowness, but it's also completely ordinary and natural. How do you take a journey to where you are? It's a big paradox

so this

is not true?

:youngsabo:

Everything is still a shared experience. But our conscious mind is not always "aware" of all the information it has access to. So the information and experiences are present (shared), but we may not have access to them in our current mindstate.
