No Kendrick is not on PE level bro. Not sure how old u are but some of us were around back then. Even tho Kendrick made a lot on his tour it still can’t match what PE was doing. They was literally a movement. Made CACs petrified no bs.

For all we know that nikka was pawgin and eating bacon but they had him doing what he needed to do on the mix. Top that off with the Shocklee Bros who were geniuses.

It wasn't just the message with PE. It was that plus the actual talent and level of musicality. The showmanship. The presentation. The dynamic between Chuck and Flav. I can go on and on. They had something that just can't be recreated.

You could argue RATM. But traditional rap wise, no. There have been times when a major artist has done something that reminds me of the "milk and honey" approach. Nas has done that before, Cole has done that before too. Hell, last year the entire nation was chanting a song with a verse about gentrification and black exploitation. But nobody has married that on a consistent basis nor do I think that's possible anymore.
What the fukk is even the actual question? Cause going through this thread I cant make heads or tails. Are you asking why there cant be a mainstream pro black sociopolitical rap group anymore or why a dude who doesn't rap that good but has a ill voice and a clucked out larger than life entertaining sidekick who had a counterculture ethos worked better in the late 80s and early 90s than it would in the 2020s?
