I was thinking of this the other day :ohhh:, is there any all time great who has played with worse Perimeter/Wing talent then Kobe Bryant? I don't think it's really close, for the record I consider all time great as a top 20 player of all time. As a starter, peak/prime, whatever you want to break it up as its horrible.

PG's- Scrubs like Derek Fisher,Smush Parker,Way past his prime Gary Payton as starters
SF's- Caron butler was good for one season in 2004-2005 and is probably the best wing player kobe has ever played with. But guys like Luke Walton,Vlad Rod, Devean George, and past his prime Ron artest were starters. Trevor Ariza was great at SF during the 2009 Playoffs, but he was a career journeyman before and after leaving LA. He never had to create his own shot either

Bench was crap as well, guys like Sasha,Shannon Brown,Laron Profit, Jordan Farmer, Adam Morrison :russ:were all Scrubs. He's never played with a PG/SF who has made the AS team as a starter(99-Present, and none during his prime (01-09)

I think that's the most underrated thing about Kobe, he's basically had to shoulder so much load on the wing. Never even had great (and many times zero)shooters to space the floor...

Glen Rice, but only for one season and he was a disappointment. I thought he'd hit 50% of his threes playing with Kobe and Shaq but it never clicked for him.

Kobe got to play with Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones early in his career, and he also played with Glen Rice.

And two of those guys you shytted on - Artest and Fisher - have bailed Kobe out numerous times in the Finals.

Plus the fact that Kobe has played with incredible frontcourt players says something as well. Kobe stans are reaching for straws to complain about and elevate Kobe at this point.

Lol@ "bailing Kobe out", it's call hitting big shots for the team. Smh. Did Fisher bail Shaq out? Shaq bailed Kobe out? Did Kobe bail Shaq and Fisher and Phil out? How many teammates did Kobe bail out?

Also, "numerous times"? Really? Nope.

This thread's premise was about Kobe's lack of perimeter shooters or that reliable 3 point threat that most teams have......not about the front court players that he had. I don't think stans are reaching for straws, it's a legit observation. I don't think the TS said Kobe was the ONLY all time great without a good perimeter squad, en that would be stanning to the extreme.
