He should, but I dont think the writers will give it to him. They dont wanna be responsible someone having a monopoly on the award so they'll give it to whoever is the next person who stepped up (Like when Barkley won in 93 and Malone in 97) In this case it'll be between Durant and Carmelo. Durant has actually developed other parts of his game and helped the Thunder adjust without Harden. Melo it depends entirely on how they do with Amare back and if he struggles again but he's was an early candidate.

So I think KD might actually win it this year.

if things keep as they are now, Lebron will win. his numbers are ridiculous. on non PG in the top 25 in assists. only non center/pf in the top 10 in fg% #4 in ppg shooting 41% from 3 and averaging 8 boards a game. #1 in PER.

And the most amazing part in regards to the stats you've compiled is that Lebron also plays hard-nosed defense while looking like he's not even trying hard on the court!

MVP we forget means most VALUABLE player, so basically which of the 3 are most necessary for the team. If that player was not on thr team, how different would the dynamics be? What does he ring to it?

Miami would still be a good team without Lebron, but if KD and Melo weren't on their trams I doubt their counterparts could carry the team on their shoulders like they do. Don't leave Kobe out the mix, 10 straight games with 30 plus points at 34.

I personally would give it to Melo, with emphasis on how he's made his teammates better (which Lebron has as well)

have you watched a heat game? They would be the hawks status without lebron, that said #1 record in the east and lebron leads the team in PPG,AST,REB and STL. Dont see how anybody can be close to that.

You nikkas mistake the Heat system letting Bron do everything and get the credit for it as others on the team being unable to do it. Bosh and especially Wade are not incapable, and no one would ever be dumb enough to say so before they joined up with Bron and were relegated to watch in the corner until I can pass to you and get an assist status.

nikka Bosh took 10 shots last night, 10, and most of Wade's shots came off iso's and forces because he barely has plays run for him or a role in their offense anymore :bryan:

I love Bron think he's been the best in the league for years but even I'm getting sick of dude getting worshiped and receiving undue credit because numbers that he's bound to have playing the way he does. Its impressive regardless but you cats don't put it into perspective when thinking up these what if scenarios

and you acting like lebron doesnt pass the ball damn near every time he gets it, you serious breh? You see the heat play when lebron on the bench? it aint no question its a different team. The question at hand is who is the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER so by default wouldnt that make him the mvp given he does all that regardless of how the ball flows through him?

So you mean to tell me an offensive system that has been entirely changed to flow thru one person looks different when that person isn't in the game? :skip:

I think he's going to get the MVP, but at this point I don't think he deserves it :yeshrug: He has the numbers and the record which is what will continue to put him over the top, but he also has a player on a team that, given the same opportunities could potentially produce similar or equal results. KD and Melo have slightly worse numbers and records but they don't have that huge luxury either.

like I originally said you cant possibly be watching the heat over the last couple of years if you believe wade or bosh can do what lebron is doing. Seems like you want to focus on this what if scenarios when you really need to look at what is happening numbers dont lie breh, if them other dudes could do it they would. So why you thinking them other people might could do it for the mvp you got somebody already doing it.

Yes, somehow Bosh and Wade just got infinitely worse as players (although we must say that Bron makes his teammates better in the same breath :stopitslime:) it actually has nothing to do with their roles being reduced. They simply aren't capable anymore.

Doesn't matter that the Heat has gone on record several times saying they told Wade to step back and reduce his role after the first year together when they lost in the finals. You right breh, they just suck now and suddenly begun to do so right when they began playing with Bron

I love Kobe Stan's bringing up rings when it comes to individual Adwards by that logic Robert Horry > Kobe

Reality is Kobe is a top ten guard of all time true

Lebron is a top ten PLAYER of all time he's so far ahead as a player he's bout to past him twice
