Is there any one super hero more popular than Spider-Man at this point?

If it's good it can do so easily. And I'm 99% sure it'll good

Oh then I have more faith than you then:shaq:

Cuz I’m 100% sure it’s gonna be good.
But GOOD is the floor. Ghostr

And most of the comic books movies in the last 21 years been good.

The question is can it be GREAT?:mjlit:

THIS MOVIE HAD SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

True, but people lack context.

Dr Strange blew up in popularity post-Infinity War/End Game, so much so that DS2:MoM may do a billion as well. And he was a heavily marketed guest-feature in NWH. Add the unprecedented uniqueness of the past 20 years of non-MCU Spider-man movies and their iconic actors reprising their roles to be integrated into the "MCU" for a swan song/reunion... coinciding with this being the 3rd film of a perceived MCU trilogy... and there's a lot more going on than just Holland's Spider-man.

Put another way: Black Panther 1, Captain Marvel 1, and Ironman 3 all outperformed the previous two MCU Spider-Man flicks, and they did so/went platinum with no major guest features; ppl downplayed a couple of those flicks by citing special circumstances, which ironically applies doubly to NWH.

Spider-man is top tier popular, but obviously a 3rd and "final" film of a Batman or Black Panther (if Chad were alive) trilogy likely does similar big numbers, with the same/comparable tactics.

Batman. Excluding movies, Superman is definitely up there.

Hulk is up there or could be if presented correctly

But it shouldn’t be a surprise or a big achievement that’s an A character gets portrayed and propelled to A level status.

I think it’s still more impressive that Marvel was about to turn realize B, C, D characters in to A level status or propel them higher than what the was ranked before.

People forget due to the “curse of knowledge” but just 18 years ago only like 5 characters that was really popular.

Matter fact this vid with the tracking very fair

I had Hulk tied with Wolverine as the fourth hero on the superhero Mount Rushmore behind Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman. I think in the last ten years thanks to the MCU, Iron Man has probably replaced Hulk/Wolverine.

Wait till the Mutants drop (hopefully they don't get neutered)

Some folks are trynna low key used Spiderman as a weapon to throw shots at Marvel MCU or act like MCU fans are mad at the success/popularity which I find incredibly weird:russ:

Again, they should be commended for how they took what they had and elevated everything else to extremely high levels.

No shot at DC, but if they was in the same situation and say they didn’t have Batman or Superman for whatever reason.

I think it’s fair to say they would’ve never been able to do the same feat with everything else they have at the same level.

We are 13 years in and the MCU (and/or Marvel in general) has introduced about 600+ (And counting) different comic book characters across all their mediums from Movies to ABC to Disney+ to Netflix to Hulu to Freeform to FX

While DC has barely given us 100+ between their movies and CW and Fox in the same amount of time.

Let that sink in for a little
