Sagat is prob the most physically imposing character in the sf universe along with akuma.

I was always a Sagat fan - every time I see him posed with his hand over his scar, even after a W, I can do nothing but salute that man. He's not one of these nikkas walking around wearing his scar as a badge of honor. He wants the re-up, so Ryu can catch that fade.
Having said that, I'm a Vega stan, so he gets my vote as the realest. It doesn't get much realer than having to fight yourself away from staring at your own reflection and then turn around and put those looks on the line in an archaic battle with absolute savages and brutes.

its from some animated series they made about young Ryu when i was in high school......
edit: it was a japanese show...If you're talking about the USA animated series, they blatantely favored Guile cuz dude was from America. Threw Ryu and Ken in the bushes...
the show was basically about young Ryu & guile was his first random encounter with an actual street fighter... he got Ryu in a bar fight & maybe hit him wit somethin but never actually kod him.. he threw dirt in Kens face & i think hit him wit a low blow.... they were young & expectin a clean fight & got that work...
Ryu decides to travel & become a street fighter afterwards... chun li pops up too....

Never understood why they gave Ryu that spiky hairstyle...Sagat threw the match to atone for killing Dan's father. Sagat lost to Adon due to being unfocused. Sagat actually beat Ryu and was Dragon Punched by Evil Ryu out of desperation trying to help him up. That was the retcon in Japan but in the U.S Sagat may have still lost

Early this morning, I read that Sagat felt guilty or something about killing Dan's dad and he threw the fight (with Dan never finding out he did) to make Dan feel better. Also, reading about how it was Dan's dad, Go Hibiki, of all people who took Sagat's eye was also weird. I saw some of the sht you find out about fighting game stories can really be out there...
