That's more a product of the separation and the function of the draft.

Same thing with MLB. There were women that were fantastic pitchers and hitters early on here in the U.S. but systemic exclusion and the push of softball has led to less eligible women players. Not that women couldn't compete in those leagues in a more equitable society and thrive.

Nah, out of all the leagues a female athlete would have the best chance in baseball. She wouldn't have to throw a 98mph fastball. If you have a woman that can control pitches she could be a specialist or mid-reliever like if she can throw a forkball or a slow curve like Zack Greinke and just mix the timing then that would be a possibility. I think the fastest female fastball was like just under 70mph so if you have a woman that's a left hander that can control the. ball they'd have a chance. There were women that played in the past and were in the Negro league so it's happened before.

As early as middle school age there starts to be a noticeable separation between men and women in baseball and that's why girls transition to softball. You'd have to be a generational baseball player as a girl to compete with college guys, and it'd probably be as a pitch to contact pitcher like mentioned before, because she'd be borderline useless as a hitter, arm would be too weak to be a fielder, 3rd base or shortstop, and she would probably be the slowest runner on the team. :dead:

I feel like one day there could be a woman who has developed Curry/Kyrie below the rim type skills and could make it.

I understand Salley actually played professionally, but, a woman being able to dominate athletically? I say no. Just look at the this mixed-gender relay

SPOILER: The women can't compete at all and these are championship-level women. Just compare different Olympic records between genders and it becomes quite apparent. I have no doubt that a woman can shoot with the best, but it's all the other athletic elements that I'd be concerned about.

Not to mention, she would get the best version of defender every game because nobody would wanna be the one who lets the girl score on them.

Well a major part of what makes Kyrie who he is is speed. People don't realize that Kyrie is one of the fastest players in the league. I'm not convinced there's women out there that fast, I do think there could be a girl who can become as amazing as him in terms of ball handling and finishing, but that speed is rare. Plus he jumps really high for a dude whose 6'1", 6'0" without shoes.

Curry's a less gifted athlete and ballhandler than Kyrie, he's just taller. He's a better shooter tho. You can learn to be as skilled a shooter and ballhandler as him, it's just near impossible even for men. I think a Curry level woman player could exist amongst women, but the moment she steps on the floor against men she'd be getting bullied.

Bruh do you realize how slow a 70mph fastball is in baseball? That is middle school level, 14 year olds throw that. A changeup in MLB is 80 mph and that only works because of the threat of a 90 mph fastball.

Serious question, have you been around competitive baseball? You see girls playing baseball until around 12-13, thats when the good boys start throwing above 70 and the girls can no longer keep up. An MLB player is going to ROCK a consistent 70 mph fastball no matter where you put it.

She would have to be a genetic anomaly like LeBron AND be like 6'2 at least. Workout like a maniac and eat healthy 24/7 and she best not get pregnant until she retires. She would make billions in endorsements...

Issue is even the shortest players could post her up, the defensive liability would be way too intense for her to play more than a few minutes. She would also probably get injured due to all the huge muscular men driving on her, could you imagine a woman taking a screen from Anthony davis or even Chris paul? :picard:

Skill wise yes. But athleticism, size, and strength says hell no.

Candace Parker is one of the greatest female players of all times and one of the only dunkers and she barely rim grazes. Imagine her trying to guard Lebron :mjlol:

This 100%.

Any sport that involves athleticism will automatically be men >>> women.

Even golf, a woman might be better at putting and short game but she's not driving 330 yards off the tee and reaching the par 5 green in two shots.

Bowling.....a skilled woman can beat a skilled man.

Darts, pool, axe throwing etc....

Basketball, the women can dribble and shoot but as soon as they do something involving explosive movements, the gap becomes so obvious. The men leap and fly so effortlessly while the women jump like they've got 50 lb backpacks strapped to them.

A 6'3" male NBA player is going be hella fast and slick. A female of the same size will be lumbering by comparison. Like prime Russell Westbrook.....no woman would ever move like that on any court.

Gymnastics by comparison.....female gymnasts do shyt that most men wouldn't even want to try. Back flips on those balance beams and shyt :hubie:

yeah gymnastics is prob really the only thing women would dominate men and possibly figure skating.

Swimming? The worst man in the olympics would dominate katie ledecky

I'd be curious about a sport like baseball. Could a woman be a 1st base(wo)man? Good hand/eye coordination....may not hit HRs like Barry Bonds but they could hit for average and be leadoff (wo)man. If there was a major sport it could be done....baseball seems like the best shot.

She'd have to be a master level flopper. I think there's a woman with comparable physical stature to let's say Trae Young.
