A lot of dope flicks aren't on streaming, and the rights to things change hands at times, so if things do go up who knows if/when they will get pulled

Blu Ray is still the best of the best as far as quality, and that’s from someone who uses Plex and kodi regularly. There’s a reason bdmv rips are the best of the best online.

Blu Ray is still the only true way to get proper 4k quality if I'm not mistaken. Everything else is just upscaled from 1080p as much as humanly possible. No sound differences, but the actual picture quality is unmatched.

Once broadband speeds improve blu ray will probably become obsolete.
