Blu Ray is still the only true way to get proper 4k quality if I'm not mistaken. Everything else is just upscaled from 1080p as much as humanly possible. No sound differences, but the actual picture quality is unmatched.

Once broadband speeds improve blu ray will probably become obsolete.

Fam, I have a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 home theater setup powered by an top end Onkyo 11.2 channel AVR, there is a huge difference in compressed audio from streaming and lossless audio from the actual disc.

or rip em to hard drive and sell em on ebay or pawnshop
or buy/rent a bigger house/apartment

because of lazy people and the content makers
streaming makes studios happy, they give you the movie in shytty bitrate and can pull it anytime
saves them money, as they have to drop thousands to manufacture the dics, with digital they just upload the file
they release the movies on streaming month before bluray

why do you think netflix is putting their movies on bluray?
