And if that crossover hit had a rap verse on it, they would cut it out. Extremely ironic to see the same station have a franchise called "Love and Hip Hop".
As far as the thread topic goes, both VH1 and it's mama, MTV, used to be all about music videos and they almost never show them now. I remember when people used to clown MTV in the 90s for not showing enough music but they were still showing way more than they do now. It's almost like they saw the rise of YouTube and Vevo coming. I foresee a similar change happening with ESPN where it's all about talk and pop culture and they have specific channels for live sports content since people don't need to tune in for scores or news anymore.

I remember the plot of every Behind The Music being the same. Lol.
1. Group of people decide to start a band.
2. They release an album to limited success.
3. They eventually hit it big with an album and blow up. Tour the world. Making millions. Fast cars. Drugs. fukking mad bytches.
4. There's some major incident at the height of their fame. Car crash. Drug overdose. Etc.
5. One or multiple members develop dehibilitating drug habits
6. Subsequent albums start selling less.
7. Band breaks up. Members go to rehab.
8. Band members are now 'clean' and are working on a comeback album.
Lol.
Rinse and repeat for the next episode. Just change the names of the band members.
