He has fallen so far from the Swagberto days where was sonning Rey Mysterio. He was getting heat, winning matches and just looking vicious. I blame Edge for his career stalling because he wasn't the same after they nixed his title win to give Edge a victory lap. Turning face, being a Mexican everyman, the thick accent, the Feliz Navidad music, turning heel again and losing Ricardo has just, I don't know......an icy wind blows through the arena when his music hits.

They should just go full bore and make him an associate or leader of a drug cartel. Bring back Ricardo. Give him his old music back and the cars. He needs hoes too. Women of little to no virtue. All of his wealth needs to be traced back to something evil. The slave trade, bootlegging, doing business with Nazi Germany, rigging elections etc. etc. He just needs to be complete scum. And proud of it. I think then, he might at least get some Evolution heat.

I think the "Born In Mexico, Made In America" gimmick was starting to get over until they turned him into Cena Jr. with the comedy stuff. His feud with Swagger should have been hard-hitting and personal, not based on clown antics. They really dropped the ball on that feud, and it had a lot of promise when it started.
