Selah pretty much mentioned it all.
Downtown Syracuse has a bunch of different sections, some of these sections are called Squares. Each section or Square is made up of a couple of city blocks so restaurants and bars are within walking distance. You could walk to another section/square really. Armory Square, Hanover Square, Clinton Square. This isn't Manhattan so there's not as much variety and there aren't going to be super expensive restaurants.
Dining » Downtown Committee of Syracuse

It has been years since I lived in Syracuse. Destiny USA was called the Carousel Mall when I was there.
What are you doing in Syracuse and Watertown anyway? Work related trip?

Watertown feeds off of Fort Drum so there are businesses that thrive off military personnel. I just never really checked out the town. I drove through to stop and eat or visit the mall. That's it. Considering that it is a big fort, there's probably plenty of bars and stuff, but I have no idea what is good or bad.

I'm laughing at the responses in here. I was born but not raised in Syracuse, and 90% of my extended family still lives there. With that said visiting fam is the only reason I would ever go to Syracuse. :francis:

Wonder how life is like in New Rochelle
Buffalo and Rochester are both about 40% Black and both have Black mayors. Syracuse is about 30%. If you're talking about the tiny towns in between then yea

I'm from Rochester but haven't lived there in years. I live in the city however what I will say is this. There is plenty to do if you willing to explore. It not like NYC where you can turn a corner and be around mad people. For the cats who haven't been out the city, it seems useless however there plenty to do in Rochester and buffalo if you willing to take a little trip west.
