Ray was a fine movie, but play an original character and then move an audience. Jamie Foxx is yet to do that. If people didn't know who Ray was Jamie wouldn't have ever hit that height of his career. Ray's legacy stood on its own two feet, Jamie's just had to be believable and not fukk it up. A tough task, but he delivered.

He's literally shyt in every other role. Unless they do Ray 2 or he reprises his role as Ray in someone else's biopic people are going to stop calling him great.

DG is exceptional too, but he still has a lot to prove, the problem is he is young enough to actually prove it.

I’ve always felt that Jamie was better suited for primetime tv then big movie productions. His movie roles always seem to miss the mark to me. His acting is reminiscent to Michael B. Jordan’s. Kind of felt the same way with his singing. It’s clear he has a good singing voice but when he crossed over to making his debut album I was left a bit disappointed.


Glover is just a bit more versatile. Not sure how he did in the Lion King but I feel like he takes his “art” a bit more serious.
