The legendary 08' celtics D was his defense. nikkaz stay wanna give doc the credit and the bulls have been great on d since he's been there
That defense was Prime KG defense.

Plus they had Tony Allen.

You have to be super stupid to give Thibs credit for that.

How did I miss this dumbass thread.

Have no idea what you're talking about brehs.
You telling me the reason for Celtics defense was Thibs.

And not a Prime KG along with Tony Allen who is still wrecking shyt.

You have lost your mind if you think the credit goes to the man in the suit waving his arms around

The "prime KG" defenses in Minnesota were mostly garbage aside from 2004:russ:

and the celtics were still good on D when he went down in 2009. Aside from this year the Thibs teams have had top elite D's every year regardless of who's in the lineup

The bulls are a regular season team they will always thrive in the regular season cuz of their consistent defense, when thibs makes adjustments in a playoff series and out strategizes a coach for a win in the ecf or finals then we can talk

I said this damn near 2.5 years ago.You can tell who watches bulls games and who runs with narratives on here

KG was always good defensively when you add Tony Allen, Ray Allen and Rondo. the shyt is going to be elite even if fukking Derrick Fisher was coaching them.

Thibs inherited a bulls team that had great defenders with great length.

The idea that you guys think these coaches have some type of magic philosophies that only they can employ is just laughable

And this where I'll leave the conversation since I know you didn't watch the Celtics that season. Tony Allen had a very small role on that team - he was like the sixth/seventh most important defender. It was James Posey who was the role player on that team that wrecked havoc on defense, not Allen.

Everywhere Thibs goes they end up having one of the best defenses in the league - yeah but he has nothing to do with it.

Pop is better.

Thibs still needs to work on his in-game adjustments/rotational matchups and reading how players have been playing and utilizing them down the stretch. Let's not forget how he was terribly outcoached in that ECF a few years ago by Erik fukking Spoelstra (sp)

This man knew.

Tony Allen was very important on that team, especially defensively. So was James Posey.

He has always had very good defenders and a lot of length.

His rotations leave something to be desired, but he might be the best in the league besides Pop in developing talent. He gets the best out of everyone he plays besides Hinrich (:mjlol:).

Orlando better have his agent on the line as soon as Chicago fires him.
