Think about?:patrice: :jbhmm:

Kodak black stay getting arrested:francis:

Bobby shmurda and gs9...nuff saidfrancis:

The drill movement. ...where do i start
:francis:

Maybe guys like ye, lil b pharell and lupe influenced a geneation of kids who would rather be themselves.:ohhh:

Maybe technology has weeded out the potential 'fake' rappers who would be exposed sooner nowadays that they would've been in the 90s :ohhh:

Plus the "real nikkas" now have easy access to the net to put out more product unlike cats from the 90s did.

nikkas wasnt wearing skirts and looking like girls in the 90s breh. Yall think its cool. At least back then men wanted to be men for the most part unless u was a fruit.....
Most guys aren't wearing skirts breh. Thugger is the only one. Hip hop fashion now>>>>>>90s fashion :mjlol:
If cats in the 90s had internet, twitter and ig. It would literally be the same crappy going on. I'm telling you. Folks need to stop fronting bc dumb nikkas have existed forever

It used to be that once you started getting rap money you tried to stop getting arrested

Well if thats the case then you can say Pac started that "half in the street/half in the studio" shyt

Being a reckless, loose lipped, dummy who indicts yourself every time you open your mouth or hop on social media does not make you real, breh.

Yo now that you mention it:ohhh:...the notion about being on the internet has done a complete 180 since the 2000s.

I'm only 24 but even I remember when being on the Internet and technology was considered "lame" and nerdy. It's literally the complete opposite now.

I give credit to social media. It changed the game

there is a difference between really REAL and and really FUKIN RETARDED...many of these rappers are "crackbabies" that other rappers 15+ years glorified selling crack to crackheads and pregnant crackheads in the 80's and 90's. They are also products of the internet glorification of showing off and attention whoring. They are mentally unstable and many cant even put a sentence together in a song. Back in the day rappers would actually rhyme and be clever with words.

The old generation of street rappers just seemed like people who handled issues that fell on their doorstep. This generation seems like they go out and create issues instead.

This too. This generation is just more wild. At least In Chicago Because gang leaders got locked up and now there's no leaders and dudes just pop off over dumb shyt

Rondo killing an innocent cab driver :beli:

Nah. We're just in the era of weed carriers and street level goons.

The FBI been investigating Wu-Tang for 20 years. You can read 90 pages of files ranging from murder to gun and drug running.

During the height of it's power Death Row had police on it's pay roll.
There is no modern equivalent of J. Prince. Actually the modern equivalent of J. Prince is still J. Prince. :mjlol:

The types of guys being brought up in this thread wouldn't even have a dedicated rap career back then. They'd be D-tier affiliates working for the types of people I mentioned, like Killa Sin. The only reason they're considered "rappers" now is because of social media, and anybody with a cell phone can shoot a video.
