Complex issue. But, working like that, is sloppy, and disrespectful. Most people REALLY don't care how you make a living, the problem is shoving it in peoples faces, which is what these guys are doing, whether they are too dumb, lazy, arrogant, or just ignorant to it, they bring this on themselves. But, it's a thin line. If I live in the neighborhood, but don't work in it, but you think I am up to something, whether it's age, race, schedule, dress, whatever, and call the police...that's snitching, or not snitching, just some bullshyt.

i understand how someone might think the comparison is shockingly stupid, but i was really just trying to make him understand how drug dealing can be framed within an entrepreneurial context. all of this really can be summed up with a simple question: if these young black men can't find jobs through "legitimate" means, how can we fault them for servicing people who choose to spend their own money on drugs?
a lot of people in this thread, and this forum, sit on pedestals and act as if it's easy for black men to get jobs that will allow them to actually live in america. it isn't. i don't know what world these nikkas are living in. i'm not excusing the violence, and i've condemned it. i'm not condoning drug abuse. i don't use drugs myself, and i don't understand why people do, but that's on them. i am saying that i cannot honestly condemn the actions of black men who have no other avenues of self-sufficiency available to them in this racist fukking society.

Snitching = Telling. Period.
If you reveal any info, by any means, to the authorities of another's wrongdoing, then you are technically snitching.
Every debate on this proves that this definition is unacceptable, though.
Some people are like Cam...won't snitch on a Jeffrey Dahmer living next door; they'll just move.
Others have a broader code...see @Madvillain and @thegreatest's posts--these definitions of snitching allow for more leniency.

Some is legitimate and some is a no no. Depends on your moral framework. Not all telling is bad. This person seems to be a snitch and a concerned citizen.
