Can't feel his fingertips in his right hand, probably can't zip it 40 yards like he's used to, it'll be over after this season. Thing is, people treat him like a ringless failure because of the sheer amount of upsets he's had over the years. Similar to the hate LeBron gets because he's lost more than he's won. Maybe Wilt Chamberlain is another NBA comparison. There's no getting around having a losing playoff/SB record and a number of suspect performances in cold weather, but he's right up there regardless.
I'll remember him as probably the most freakishly smart NFL player of our time (he's been his own OC forever if we're being real), mastered timing/footwork when he lost some arm strength, but just couldn't do it another time outside of '06. For all his lack of more obvious physical gifts (still has a longer rush than Struggle Cuts as a Colt

) he made up for it by being able to tailor Earhardt-Perkins and no huddle to his strengths in Denver, which I've never seen a QB or player do. Hope he's not remembered primarily for being a "loser," but that Super Bowl record is gonna be an inescapable fact.
