just googled and DC actually specifically defines that as Street Harassment not only based on sex but race :francis:

Street harassment is any disrespectful, offensive or threatening statements, gestures or other conduct directed at an individual in a high-risk area without the individual’s consent and based on the individual’s actual or perceived protected trait identified in the DC Human Rights Act of 1977.

Id go so far to say its terrorism to be honest.

The intimidation factor by leveraging a woman's fears of sexual harassment as method of achieving political goals sounds like terrorism to me

ter·ror·ism
/ˈterəˌrizəm/

This. Dudes on here with circular reasoning trying to justify this as free speech just don't like AOC. Had this happened to their daughter, mother, sister, wife, etc., they would have put dude in the ground.

She’s got the white women “damsel in distress” act down to a science.

No Spanish chick from the Bronx reacts like that to being told she has a fatty.

If this happened to someone i love i wouldn't put the dude in the ground. We're talking about words. I would check them, i would get closer to them, and whatever physical altercation that organically happens after, it is what it is :hubie: . But i wouldn't just straight physically assault someone over words.

No, it wasn't. Hell, watch any episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Aire.

Women used to shut lame pick-up lines and cat-calls down all the time so they got 'retribution' on the spot.

Morals change over time.
Again they shut them down the same way now so that point means absolutely nothing to your argument. :stopitslime:

Fresh Prince made it clear that shyt was wrong. That’s the whole point of it being touched on in those episodes.

In the 80s and 90s there was all types of PSA’s about sexual harassment and how cat calling specifically was all wrong.

Not at all since there were no calls for 'harrassment', thus, proving my argument with evidence. Women either shut them down, or, they were with it, or, they just K.I.M. Fresh Prince's antics were descriptive of how things were just a couple decades ago. The 80's was even more raw.

There were plenty of calls for harrasment.

Again that’s the sole reason the topic exists on FP. It was to bring awareness the the fact that, that type of behavior is wrong.

And i see you are gonna play the game of taking one sentence out of my response and arguing out of context.

Thats hoe shyt, so i’ll just stop here.

“Rape” was socially accepted and expected for the majority of human history.

It was still “rape” the whole time.:stopitslime:
