This is classic Picasso...his early work from Blue and Rose Period 1900s and you can see his Renaissance influence plus his take on "realism cubism". I do see Cezanne too and maybe a Broque in this as well.

He was on Cezanne heavy. His background was all Cezanne.

The cubism on the harlequin’s costume is definitely Braque.

You nailed it.

His Rose period is my favorite followed by Blue.

I prefer Braque‘s cubism over Picassos because Braque’s shyt is so dynamic, engaging, and beautifully constructed.

I think Picasso wanted to play with the style without getting too close and got too loose for my liking.

The crazy thing about picasso is he was actually a really good painter. His first works were legit.

Rich People just happened to like his later work more. And he kept making more of them for rich folks. I think he was a really shrewd person, by apealing to the rich people this way. Notice that his net worth at death was at least 500million (in 2023 dollars) , based soley on his later art work. Thats crazy.
