Idk about the Amendola deal but paying Juice wasn't the way to go. Having 150 catches and can barely get 5 yards on any of them wasn't getting it done

Much easier to rebuild the Dolphins and a totally different sport/circumstances; Dolphins were a 10-win playoff team with their QB healthy.
