look at what was accomplished in a 7 min segment to start Raw

Rock comes out and tells us what has happened in the story thus far (Michaels/HHH screwing him out of the title) , and then tells us what will happen next (calls out HHH). In between moving the story forward, he also talks trash which gets his character further over and engages the crowd. We then get him going backstage to find HHH (further putting him over as the tough face), then HHH sneak attacks him (putting him over as the smart yet cowardly heel), and then Mankind comes to help the Rock (putting him over as the reliable upstanding face). You just don't see this done to open Raw anymore, and if it is, then it's after 20 mins of nonsense
