Nobody with a real working knowledge of rap music considers The Sugarhill Gang legends. They were the first pop artists and biters.
Having said that, there is a gang of old artists that are legends purely off being pioneers. Rap and by extension Future wouldn't exist if they didn't rap basic as fukk 30 years ago. Cats acting like PS4 would exist without the Atari 2600.
