is this the most lopsided finals ever?

Last year was pretty bad honestly, but the ones you listed are all worse. Maybe 1981 when the 40-42 rockets played the Celtics. That’s pretty decisive. My top five most lopsided for the last 40 years though. 1981, 2001, 2002, 2007, and 2018.
What about 1986?

There were a handful of close games, the rockets best players put up pretty solid numbers, it went 6 games, and the rockets were pretty good that year with 51 wins and a top 7 offense at least. The games were fairly high scoring too. Between both teams, there were only 3 cases of a team not reaching 100 points. The rockets making it was a big upset, but they weren’t a bad team and if Ralph Samson and the rest of the team didn’t unravel, the rockets would’ve likely stuck around with that core team for a decent while.

once kyrie went down the 2015 finals was pretty scary.

:francis:

at least love is capable of being a #2...

once kyrie went down in 2015... breh had delly as number 2? mozgov? tristan thompson? an inconsistent JR? :damn:

still won two games. :wow:
cleveland actually went up 2-1 after kyrie got hurt :wow:

they won game 2 at the oracle and game 3 in cleveland.

I expect Cleveland to win game one or two.

Lakers-Nets was the most obvious. At least the Cavs have LeBron so you can imagine a possibility of an upset. As great as Jason Kidd was, he isn't putting 40 points, so you knew he had no shot against Shaq and Kobe.

It’s up there. The biggest finals series odds I can recall in my life were this years, 2001, 1999 and 1996

I was referring to more of the thoughts pre series. The Celtics that year were being argued as the GOAT team and at worst top 5 in history. The rockets weren’t even the best team in their conference that season and as you said it was a massive upset them being there in the first place. It was supposed to be Celtics Lakers 3. The Celtics also ran through the eastern conference playoffs
