Eminem's old rival Cage.

Modern hipsters will pick El-P.

Cage is the dopest white boy to touch the mic.

All the rappers on this Mt. Rushmore I don't like. The closest is Paul Wall and he just seems more like a cursory fan. I'm not banging his albums.

Cage is fire but he messed up his own momentum

1. Not taking the Def Jam deal
2. Switching up after Hell's Winter.

He still has it, though. This came out in February

Yeah, post Hell's Winter he's emo and wack. He fell off but most do barely anyone stays dope forever. Catalog prior is big enough for me. There was a time he was just a radio guy I thought would never drop an album so he outpaced what I thought he would ever do recording wise.
The Def Jam deal would have been a dead end. I doubt he would have actually ever dropped. He did the right thing staying indie.
Especially with all the shyt he talks about being pop.

There's zero way Def Jam wouldn't have put out his album to try to ride the Eminem wave, especially since they had beef and Cage was the originator of the crazy White boy style. The story was right there.

:yeshrug: never heard of mac miller & russ

Mac steadily improved til he passed, worth a listen depending on what kinda rapper you like. Russ is...I don't wanna call him trash because he's not. He's just very run of the mill with little competition in his lane, no way in hell should he be on mt. anything lol

Take Russ out, put Alchemist in

Yes, yes hes not a "rapper" but his contribution to Hip Hop as a white person is second to none.

This makes more sense than anything honestly.

Can't squeeze the beasties or 3rd base into one spot, ALC has a case for GOAT producer/rapper.
