Many of these people are probably paid a salary by all of the PACs and 501(c) groups that are all over the place. There is so much money and so many outlets from which to send out your message/propaganda. Think about how multi-faceted of an effort the Russian influence campaign has been on our country. There are organizations doing essentially the same thing DOMESTICALLY and out in the open. Between white nationalists, pro-business, anti-progressive, or any group that has an interest in either splitting the liberal/Democratic base or fracturing the AA/black community - there is no shortage of people willing to pay for this and no shortage of opportunists to accept the role.

Well, a lot of "militants" here are really just black conservatives who don't want to identify as conservative because conservative groups are aligned with bigotry, xenophobia and racism.

Most self respecting black people won't self identify as a conservative or a liberal. There's always something suspect with those that do imo
