It was a strike though...it crossed the plate in the strikezone...doesn't matter where the catcher catches it
There is no way with that trajectory the ball went over the plate. Even the ump said he got it wrong.

Trajectory of a ball has nothing to do with a strike. Have you ever seen A.J Griffin pitch? Dude has a curveball that looks like an underhanded granny toss, but when it is not getting blasted for 450 ft, he throws it for tracks.
Looking at the gif, the ball clearly passes over the strikzone to me...
perhaps it is a...little low and outside by the time the catcher gloves it though

hearing it about it over the radio.. i thought it was going to be a lot worse. the way they were saying it was in the dirt.. i thought that shyt had bounced across the plate.
