Is this true? For the 2020 census Brooklyn alone has more people than Chicago?

In 2019 Chicago was bigger but only by a few thousand. In 2020, Brooklyn may have over taken Chicago.

That’s what I figured. I never knew Brooklyn had more people than Chicago ever

The Chicago metro areas is quite vast though. Almost close to LA and LA proper is 500 square miles, twice that of Chicago. Still, Chicago’s metro is half the size of NYC. NYC is just gargantuan on another level.

I was shocked at one point to learn San Francisco in land size is smaller than Brookyn and Queens.

DC = Brooklyn but smaller than Queens in land size

Yea man. SF is small. But technically so is Manhattan. It’s like 22 square miles and SF is around 49 square miles I believe. So technically San Fran is bigger than Manhattan on a land basis. They just built so many buildings in Manhattan that it seems larger than it really is and then they annexed all the boroughs. If San Fran annexed Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose and Marin it would be a big city too.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.

There are parts of the NYC metro that are so far idk how people work in the city everyday. I use to work in Riverhead and had to leave my house 3 hours in advance because of traffic
