I forgot about those. I know somebody who used to smoker those religiously. The few times I hit it I got a headache. shyt tasted like incense

LA Malls used to be pack every weekend from the 90s up to the mid 2000s
Getting clothes, shoes , meeting up with chicks all day and then everyone either hit their cars or hop on the MTA mix with fights

Damn. Did online shopping kill malls?
2000s were definitely live.
The Malls were the place to be. It was like a day party/happy hour spot. Didn't need any money to window shopping and holler at girls.
Music stores were lit. Hiphop peaked because all coast were hitting. Great music from everywhere.
6 figures wasn't a thing. Women were really cool, wasn't this baddie, bad bytch era.
Applebees and Tgi Fridays were great dates.
Just having a decent cars was a win. Dudes with like a 96 Accord in 2001 was him! And if you had a Acura Infiniti or Lexus... You was a baller.
Thing was just more simple back then. Most people were down to earth.

The malls still open because this is a tourist area unlike u say a smaller town
What kills malls from my opinion for black folks , these young nikkas are broke and not hustlers but thieves
Then a lot of neighborhoods especially white neighborhoods built stripped malls with smaller spaces and restaurants and people donāt have to drive 20 to 30 minutes to malls and dealing with parking and donāt have to deal with nikkas in all honesty
I think that's a big part of it.
I think cell phones killed it too. Mall was for socializing and seeing what was fly. We can see whats fly on IG now. And can be social online.
I think stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls hurt malls too.
Also, mall don't have to flyest clothes anymore. It's hard for them to keep up with the trends that change every month.

Yeah, the problem with malls started when there got to be too many mallsā¦then you had the āgood mallā vs. the āused to be good mallā.
Then the Department Stores and restaurants started leaving the āused to be good mallsāā¦and when WalMarts started leaving the South
and coming up North they were cheaper than the stuff in the specialty stores at the mall.
