Is this whole Mexican vs Black thing a SoCal thing?

I've lived in SoCal my whole life and I've yet to see any race war.

I'm starting to think most people talking about it aren't from california because most of my friends from cali say they get along perfectly and that it's just the news spewing bullchit.
I'm from the Central Valley. It's a bit of a thing here. Not like its an absolute but there have been black dudes killed because the Mexican bangers were looking for someone black to shoot. From what I was told it was spillover from LA shyt so I don't know if that extends up much further

In Northern Cali there really ain't no beef with the Mexicans out here. We get along with them. Nortenos and Blacks for the most part get along and even have a loose alliance in prison.
Now, in terms of relations with Sur13. That's a different story. Surenos hate the shyt out of black folks. There are more Surenos in so Cal. So that beef has been on for decades. MS13, 18th Street, Florencia 13 etc have all had generations of beef with Bloods & Crips.
But the Blacks vs Mexican beef mainly stems from prison tho.

Its all gangs fighting for drug turf war and they just happen to be Mexican and black gangs.
i live downtown l.a. and grew up in watts. and the race war is nothing but -gang war.. but some innocent folks get hit by mistakes
