I no longer get surprised by this. I knew a few kids that were into singing and dancing back in highschool. Doing plays and shyt. They were all either shortgang oror both.

I got my mind right a long time ago. My dumb ass used to be worried about a player's contract like "I hope breh gets paid", then I thought "why in the hell am I HOPING for the wealth of somebody that dont know me from a hole in the wall, and I get NONE of that money"

there seems to be this idea that black men have to either be hyper masculine or hyper feminine. we're either thugs and sex objects or fabulous gays and fashion trendsetters
the regular breh with a regular life and job who games, posts on the coli, and has a regular girlfriend doesn't seem to exist in hollywood. the caricature of black people is a scourge that subsists even after hundreds of years. it's maddening
