Romo is fine until the pressure of December comes. Can't rank him higher than Brees and the young guns of Kaep and Russ, just can't. They've all proven they can win in the postseason, Romo has not despite the experience.
romo has a 20 pt higher pass rating than Russ in losses. 20 pt higher pass rating that Russ when trailing. romo beats him in the clutch in game situations and the december stuff has been disproved over and over again. he throws the ball about 10-12 times more per game than Russ in his entire career. seattle was dead last in pass attempts the last 2 years. he is a game manager who rides the coattails of an elite defense and run game. he's not on the level of a romo or luck or brees or rivers. kaep is in the same boat as russ. i can't wait till both of their defenses fall apart so both of them have to carry their franchises on their back like romo has done the last 5 years.

Im not even a Russ Stan- but this is the first time in Wilson's career that Romo has a better rating than him. And not even by that MUCH! (104.7 vs 102)
breh you have to acknowledge what is around him. there is a reason romo averages 150-200 more attempts per season than russ. put that type of responsibility on russ and his numbers are going to cave.

the people in here saying brees clearly haven't watched him this season. his skills and even more importantly, his decision making have declined. he's barely a top-7 NFC QB.

Uncertain grounds
cowboys start running the ball a shyt ton more and upgraded the offensive line big time and now romo is all of a sudden a much better qb. :lolbron:

he hasnt been force-feeding witten this year and is making better decisions but the point is that he isnt all that much different than he used to be. perhaps he was under-rated before because now he looks a lot better with an actual decent team and rational play-calling around him. other than decision making, i dont think he elevated his game much individually (which is not a slight, more of a slight to the coach/gm and a note on him previously being a little underrated)

Even tho its fukk the Cowboys all day errday I never shytted on Romo like that. Its obvious to anyone with a brain that dude can play. Thats why I was cheering for them to get Manziel to cause some QB drama cause Romo's always dangerous :yeshrug:. When he cuts down on his Favre like tendencies he's easily a top QB in the league.

Romo has a 105 qb rating (4th in the league)
69.5% completion percentage (1st)
14 tds (5th)
1789 yds (9th)

So yes his attempts are way down but he is one of the most efficient right now and far more than a game manager. We dont win against STL, HOU, SEA or NYG if it werent for romo

I get the improvement in efficiency but my point is you can't become a better QB (in terms of rankings) if your teams is asking you to do less. This is the argument people use against Russell Wilson (and he's won a Super Bowl), and mind you Russell has WAAAY less to work with on the offensive side of the ball. I like the way Romo is playing this year but I like the play calling waaay more (and what Murray has done for this team way more also), I like the balanced offense. There are a few QBs Id take over Romo in the NFC this year, I think when people rate/rank QBs they overlook all the talent some guys have to work with. Romo probably has the most talent around him right now, maybe tied with Manning.

I started on the Tony bandwagon and hopped off after some crazy choke jobs.

But I also can see he's had no legit play calling in forever and the fact that they seem to finally realize that the run is the go to this year, it has allowed him to relax and only have one bad game.

If this keeps up he just has to prove he can play in December...im praying cuz I can finally put effort into rooting for this team again:to:

Haven't been able to say that for a long time
