All I can tell you is I've been to live Raws, and Smackdown s where HHH got the loudest face pop of the night.

I'll put it this way...

In my years of being at many shows pops go.

1. Rock circa 2000
2. Austin
3. HHH

Don't fool yourself HHH is alot of ppls fav or he was at one point
New Age Outlaws were more over than Triple H. They sold more merchandise too.

can you recall who else was on the card and what time periods these were?

well it was obvious times when HHH was a face.

So last time I remember was 2005. He got the biggest pop of the night on that RAW. I believe it was "RAW Homecoming 2005" I was there in the 3rd row.

New Age Outlaws were more over than Triple H. They sold more merchandise too.

I'm not talking about DX era.

HHH was nobody's favorite wrestler until he broke out on his own post 2000 & beyond.

I've been Raw's where fans go apeshyt just seeing his image on the screen during commercial breaks. He's definitely someone's favorite.

Is it fair to say that people who were stars in the Attitude Era, who are rarely ever on screen, get a bigger than normal pop when they actually do appear?

He's my wee brothers favourite wrestler, only wrestling merchandise he ever bought was a hhh t shirt, but he only takes in WWE's version of history and doesn't know any better. :yeshrug:

I like to shyt on him for the craic and because of the revisionist history making him out to be bigger than he was but he's still a fantastic heel. Very few wrestlers can get me to hate them like hhh can, especially in 2000, guy was fukking despicable. :hhh:

One of my favorite characters ever and one of the coolest character evolutions in the WWF/E.

Underrated aesthetic character as well. Larger than life, menacing, cool name, gear, logo, and finisher. Great theme music, signature weapon...

Politics and backstage stuff make people knock him down, but through the eyes of a child that wasn't into dirtsheets and such,...

Dude was (and still is), indeed, a bad ass character.
