Taylor’s song went #1 cause it sounds like a Taylor hit with a few bars just randomly inserted twice from Kendrick, even with a different beat. But the hook and bridge was most likely what sold. I don’t think Kendrick fans bought it, which is the point. I do not think Taylor dropping half a hook on a EST Gee song would make it go #1 though. Just like she didn’t make Bon Iver/The National collabo album move her type of units, where she was featured on two singles.
