Is Wendell Pierce the most underrated black actor in Hollywood

He's a top tier actor and one of those older black actors who is professionally trained (Julliard). But unlike Denzel and some of the other black theater actors he never really became a leading man-type. He's had some amazing roles like on The Wire but overall hasn't had the film or TV roles that some of his peers have had. Definitely super underrated.

I got to see him on stage in Fences back in 2006, he was amazing.

Wendell is a good actor who chooses good roles. He is great as an Everyday Brotha
which is why you can put him in anything.

IMO the most truly Underrated Black Actor is Glenn Plummer. Why?
He has a history of standout performances in movies that aren’t that great.
That’s not his fault, though.
He is like Ving Rhames - they have a certain look, so they tend to be typecast…but
they always seem to add something extra to their parts.
