For the style of Hip Hop that I like, yes Gunn is leagues ahead of Ross but I generally don’t like the super luscious beats that Ross uses. Having said that I HATE a lot of drumless beats unless it has some kind of groove to it, it can’t just be car horn sounding shyt like that new Estee Nack album.

I only like Ross on soul/jazz records, he needs an album full of those. The trap stuff doesn't move me. "Mr. T" beat one of the best productions I've heard from that whole wave so I'm rocking with Gunn

Agreed. Rick Ross' luxury yacht sounding beats are just too slick for my taste.

Gunn has superb ears for beats. Underrated as a rapper too, the new album will probably get a lot of spins. That being said, I would like Gunn to try some new producers because they have tons of material with that same sound - even albums that I haven't heard or not since they dropped. I could go back to that if I want to hear more in that vein, its better to move on to something new.

let me say first, I am not much of a RR fan. I like WSG. but to me its not close.. the reason why RR is even good is because of his beat selection. he is one of the best ever when it comes to production. and trust me, I hate to give that dude any credit.
