Yea i dont read computer sites or anything like that , i didn't know there was any backlash... like i said i thought it was fine, i only use the laptop to surf the net lolThis a serious question as if there wasn't major Backlash to Windows 8?
its faster then 7...I said the same thing...until I seen how it runs everything so much smoother n fasterI dont like the metro functionality. there's no point in it. windows 7 is fine tho.
Windows 8 was just fine, the problem is that people got mad at how Microsoft got so aggressive with the Modern UI.
In fact, I still argue that being able to type out of nowhere and it will immediately search is better than having to now click on the start menu again to get the same result. Oh well, either way Windows 10 is the best OS out there today and no doubt better than OS X El Capitan.
ummm Windows 10 opens up the start menu with the key also lolIt shyt like this that keeps businesses and corporations on windows 7.
In windows 7, instead of clicking the start menu, you just press the windows key and then start typing for search. Why did they feel the need to change that? In a high pressure and fast paced environment, learning tricks and shortcuts like the window-key search, saves so much time.
It's these little unnecessary changes that leave me scratching my head. I mean windows powers business around world. Why would they change things to appeal to consumers while at the same time making unnecessary changes that make business more inefficient?

Programs are in alphabetical order from the list... highlighted like columns its pretty easy to navigate .. and tiles can be placed beside menu in columns and can be expanded to fit your needs..also documents or download folders you use alot can be placed in the start menu at the bottom ..Can you search though? I was trying that on the lumia 950 (continuum mode), and windows key search didn't work.
At least alt-tab still works thought.
Yes. The search icon/box (Cortana) will open up and give you results for what you're searching for.Can you search though? I was trying that on the lumia 950 (continuum mode), and windows key search didn't work.
