Is Windows 10 any good?

never understood the hate for windows 8.1...easily the smoothest OS windows has ever released.

I got two windows 8 machines and them shyts have never froze or blue screened once and one of them is my gaming rigs with a ton of games on it, ton of mods for the games, and tons of applications to monitor shyt while i game..

Now Windows 8 was about as bad as vista...

Being that Windows 8/8.1 is the greatest operating system ever made, I'd say you should have been upgraded anyway. Hoping Windows 10 is as nice as it sounds.

As an Ubuntu user since 2009, Windows 10 is the best iteration I have ever used and I plain on making it my main OS. It is basically Windows 8 with metro apps that can be resized, lots of bloat removed and task view added to easily switch between applications like how osx uses expose. The new start menu just makes sense, if this had been Windows 8 so much scrutiny would have been avoided.

The auto upgrade to 8.1 also made my brand new i7 slow as dikk and I'm still not getting prompted for 10. I knew I shouldn't have purchased another Microsoft pos

Unfortunately upgrades NEVER work properly. The best way is to have a clean install.
