Windows 8.1 is beast mode, Windows 10 from most pepole in the beta feel it shyts on 8.1
So your theory is not valid anymore

Damn, if this thread is any indication of how this upgrade is going to go I don't envy Microsoft's support team. None of my machines are going to be upgraded day of. Don't really see a reason to jump in so early.

they have a lot of preview users so millions already have it installed...support has already been grinding for the better part of a year...

You can get the preview but it doesn't officially drop until july 29th.

Yeah, I know a lot of people have been using it but a lot of those people knew what they were getting into. And that's only a small fraction of their actual install base. And a lot of people might end up just as confused as some posters here.
