His music was never mind blowing or anything but alot of shyt pre-rolling papers was dope. After he dropped that and went left with his sound...he became another generic mainstream rapper making weak music. Also being a weed rapper, it limited him to a point that it just gets stale no matter how many ways you can try to spin it.

Alot of his fanbasee that was smoking weed and partying have already moved on. He still has a large fanbase which means he'll continue to eat good for awhile and he has alot of hits to perform with so that helps.

Majority of his fans back then are now closing in their early 30's. That weed rap gets played out eventually, nobody gets amazed about them songs at that point.

Spitta has distribution deals with labels he doesn't have a 360 deal, that man is self made

Yea he had a distribution deal with with def jam for both pilot talk albums, but he now has a full deal with warner bros for his albums. That is the reason why he goes under the moniker spitta andretti when he releases his mixtapes(new jet city, drive in theatre). He can only use the name curren$y for his major release albums.

Honestly i didn't realize wiz ever had a fanbase like that. I remember kush&oj was kinda hot in high school. But only among the dudes who had no identity outside of weed. I liked (mezmerized, still blazin) a couple songs but surmised that he was trash. And since then i've only heard a couple of his commercial hits.

But now that you mention it i think its the same nerdy stoners still supporting this dude. My stepbrother bumps that shyt and he has no identity outside of his bud. Those seem to be the kinda people who're attracted to wiz music.

what city are you from tho? cause in southern cali....kush and oj was one of the anthem mixtapes of the year. everybody was fukkin w/ wiz. i'd say pretty much from 2006 or whenever say yeah dropped...up until rolling papers...he was one of the most popular rappers in socal.

Okay he's on that weird effeminate style and that's not a good look- agreed.

Is he dead to the true hip hop fan base? Yes. But for casual fans of music.. He's putting out random party music less about weed so he's good there.

One of the main reasons dude fan base is so loyal is because he put out the Day Today videos on YouTube allowing his fan base to get a close look at how he and his crew hang out, sense of humor, blazing. From that he got many loyal fans (white) in the US and abroad.

He might be dead to cats like Coli bergs but he will be good for a while. Snoop will coach him on how to keep his fan base engaged through this weird period
