Best online console by far and a top 3 for me easy. People probably don't remember but the 360 is damn near GOATed for a few reasons:

1) It created party chat which was an absolute game changer. Having a party with everyone while they are playing different games was big. PS3 you could only talk to people if you were in the same game and in the same lobby

2) Was one of the first console to use bluetooth. PS3 had it also. Having the MW3 bluetooth earpiece was gold

3) People probably completely forgot about this, Windows Media Center. Streaming your music to play on the 360 from your computer was huge for me. I loved it. I used it all the time. Nothing like playing SF4 online all night long but instead of hearing the stage music, I was listening to all the Rap-A-Lot albums shuffled while I was online kicking azz

The Xbox 360 ushered in storage space for consoles, HDD specifically
Microsoft is a PC company.. The original Xbox was made entirely of PC parts
The 360 was their first "console" and yet it had PC stuff like the hard drive/etc/
Sony added the HDD extremely late in the console production cycle.

Broadband highspeed internet hit its stride when that gen started so online gaming took off during that gen on consoles.

Looking back, the amount of hit games that came out during that generation is why the 360 is an all-time great.
Dreamcast was epic
NES and SNES/GENESIS is probably the best gen for gaming overall.

I feel like in modern day, Gamepass is another one of those things that will be an all time thing. So I feel were in a golden age for gaming.
Right now things are just too good to be true. And if they still dropping a family plan like they claim?
Then its just about enjoying yourself, not worrying about if you can get dozens of games a year. Gamepass allows that to be the norm.
So I might have this gen in the top 5 as well
