Meek ain't no gangster rapper wtf.... You just wanted to throw a shot at him

Meek is a street rapper

YG is a gangster rapper

I ain't never heard meek throw up a set

Edit: you clarified up above

I guess YG is last hope if you don't really go out looking for other gangster rappers
So who do you think is good gangsta rap for a mainstream level or who could have that future ? I'm tryna be put on.

With the direction of music I think gangsta rap in its traditional sense is definitely dying.

Ok you've kind of moved the goal posts and contradicted yourself a few times

You're losing me.. Migos are gangsta rappers/street MCs who's singles could be categorized as "turn up" music much like "who do you love"

Either way.. Migos impact in 3 years > YGs and ain't even close

Without the Jeezy co sign YG would be making "turn up" songs like toot it....

I can't too deeply about Migos because I've never been moved to really check for them outside of singles and features. I ain't heard anybody revering a body of work of theirs like YG got for My Krazy Life

You've seen the whole world not just the hip hop world captivated by their flows and dance moves

Once again, you stated you don't check them so before you make an outlandish claim like YG is the best mainstream gangster rapper :mjlol: you want to do a little more homework

Is Freddie Gibbs too underground to label mainstream? I don't listen to him much but he be doing his thing.

Also Game came through last year in a big way, unless you only talking about newer artists.

I just like them that much. Trust me the Migos isn't what I'm looking for in Gamgsta Rap. I'll put it like that :pachaha:

The Migos I hear is just shyt to have fun to and not put much thought into.

I'm bumping Kodak Black before Migos

Not sure if Mozzy is gonna cross over to the mainstream like that.

He's got a good fanbase tho...

Gangsta rap is pretty much dead in the Mainstream.

You got Nipsey
Mozzy
Skeme
RJ
Teecee4800
And
Freddie Gibbs

All underground
