If we basing it on

Longevity
Classic Records
Sales
Impact

They definitely in the ATL Ring of Honor

They can get a mention in the Southern Rap Hall of Fame

They can get a honorable mention within hip hop in GENERAL...

No one saying they are elite, but just like sports, there are levels to where players get mentioned

What happened to the Ying Yang Twins??? Bohagon?? Chyna White???

After that U.S.A album, they kinda disappeared?

Their music was cartoony and goofy and could have lasted longer. 2005 was the official year of the South running things.

Absolutely :mjtf:

One of the craziest stories in hip hop history. 2 n!ggas who met each other in special ed after being picked on & created a group :wow:

Ying Yang Twins part of the reason the South went on the run we did especially during the crunk era. Not only that they carried the Twerk movement on they shoulders for YEARS.

If somebody was to tell the story of Hip Hop once you get to the 2000’s you would have to mention em

Travis Porter
Rae Sreummurd

Don’t exist without Ying Yang

Longevity- Not really. They didn't really make it past 5-6 years. Yes, a lot of careers don't really see that, but they peaked in 2005 and once Crunk was done, so were they

Classic records- they have several classic songs

Sales- not really a big deal, but they had like 2 albums that sold.

Impact- the whisper song is the extent of their impact. Crunk was already high thanks largely to Lil Jon. Ying Yang was a huge part of that movement, buy it was spearheaded by Lil Jon.

Ying Yang had their time, but overall, its too many ATL artists that occupy a moment to really put them up there like that.

“Hip hop is happy party music” fukked up hip hop and opened the door for all these “wait til ya see muh dikk/shake it like a salt shaka” caricature ass rappers.

No disrespect, I went down south every summer as a kid and loved it down there with the fam and all that…but a lot of the rap that came out the south was borderline offensive it was so stupid and goofy…specially around the early 2000s. If these are legends to you you wild goofy or a smut…probably a white smut too

“If I Ruled The World” and “The World is Yours” is happy hip hop music. “Lemme smell yo dikk” and all that shyt is just stupid music, lol
