Finally getting around to this. Eh. Not sure I'll play this again. Did the Digi-Phonics produce this? Very bootleg K Dot sounding.

It'll grow on you, they just have similar influences. It's a grower, most definitely

I can't say it's bad. it's just sort of there. He really isn't a special MC. That's for sure. And he most certainly is biting K Dot in spots.

Now that I've had time to fully digest this album, I can honestly say that it's really really good. To me, the production on this is probably the best I've heard on a TDE album since Section.80 and Isaiah Rashad is a more than capable rapper. I won't lie, at points on the album he does eerily sound like Kendrick though. Initially, I thought Kendrick was doing BVs on one of the songs, that's how similar they sound. There's only 2 songs on here that didn't move so that's a high success rate.

Standout tracks:
Webbie Flow
RIP Kevin Miller
Ronnie Drake
Tranquility
Heavenly Father
Shot You Down

It's a 8/10 for me.

Most played release of 2014 so far. Didn't think I was gonna fukk with this as much as I did.

Jay Rock needs to win some awards for his verse. Quotables for days and the way he goes from intense to calm was nice.

Isaiah's got some quotables too

They treat lyrics like I hold triggers like I make difference
Then downplay what I give em like I'm no different

Was about to bump this thread yesterday :salute:

Something about this album keeps me coming back. It scratches that Lost Tapes itch for me.

This didn't wow me on first listen, matter of fact I played the first two songs and deleted it

But lemme tell you right now it became a 5* classic after I re-heard it a couple months later when my homie was playing it in the car

#1 release of 2014 so far
Prob better than anything from 2013
