What the fukk did Spotify do to Find a Topic?! That beat was perfect and didn't need to be messed with :mindblown:

Isaiah Rashad Forced to Tweak “The Sun’s Tirade” Due to Sample Clearance Issue - DJBooth Article

Earlier this month, Isaiah Rashad released his studio debut The Sun's Tirade, but in the last week, the TDE emcee has been forced to make changes to his LP due to sample clearance issues.

According to Rashad, the original version of the Free P and J. LBS co-produced record "Find a Topic (homies begged)" contained a George Benson sample that wasn't properly cleared. As a result, the artist was given two options: drop the track from the album or recreate the record without the sample.

"We tried our best to play everything on the project that was sampled originally," Rashad told DJBooth via text. "That one [sample] was pivotal for the song. Some stuff you can't recreate."

Rashad eventually opted to recreate the track and substitute in the new version of the song across every service—Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal—that currently has his album available for stream, but that doesn't mean he's happy about the end result.

"[It] kinda got robbed of the song's soul taking out the sample," he said. "[I'm] probably gonna take it off."

While the original version of "Find a Topic" is no longer available for stream on any of the major streaming platforms, fans who purchased a physical copy of the album won't have to worry about the song magically disappearing from their CD.

Yeah as much as I don't like saying this I really can't get into this album, I like about 4 tracks that I go back to but I as a whole a lot of these tracks are either wasted or I find them boring, guess it just ain't for me.

Best project I've heard in 2016, I forgot all about breh after the Clive tape wore off. This shyt truly gets better with every listen, that's what separates classics from forgetables

I know I'm late but I just heard this today. I knew pretty much nothing about him or the album other than that he's part of TDE, but I thought it was pretty dope. It's got an old school feel to me, which I really like because I don't like too much of what's new.

After listening a bit more this is better than I first thought, but...it could have been edited a bit more liberally, or at least they could have gone a different direction on a few tracks beat/vocals wise.
