You're mentioning like one playoff run and you're arguing that the Bucks series was Iverson willing his team to win?

He averaged 30 PPG on the low 30% shooting. Mutumbo was the best player for the 76ers during the Bucks series.

Mutumbo had a good series but game six AI scored 46 nobody else showed up. Game 7 he came back and scored 44. What more do you want.

Let me leave this here since you werent watching basketball yet

Who said Iverson didn't have amazing games?

But how about that whole series? Iverson had games here he went 5-26 (L) 10-32 (W), 5-27 (W).

And those games were decided by a couple of points so Mutumbo's defense and rebounding was the game changer in those games. You put any great scoring guard in that position and let him shoot as much as Iverson did and I bet they'd go 5-26.

shyt, I bet IT wishes he could go 5-27 and win a playoff game :scust:

King Mutumbo outchea anchoring that top flight Philly defense, averaging the most rebounds, and maximizing possessions. Dropped 21 in that one point victory in game 5.

I bet IT wishes he had a DPOTY and 6MOTY on his squad

Post was definitely referencing you bringing up how good the Bucks were on offense as a response to A.I.'s shytty play against them

And AI didn't go 5-27 in game 5 and get carried by Mutumbo after shooting something like 16%?

Or Iverson going 10-32 in game 4 but also pulling out a win while Mutumbo didn't anchor the defense, grab 15 rebounds, and drop 17 Points on 54% shooting?

Iverson's offense was absolutely essential but that team carried each other. Iverson was allowed to focus almost entirely on offense but playoffs is about defense and controlling possession. That team cleaned up and made it possible for Iverson to do what he did. It was built that way.

Y'all think I'm saying Iverson didn't have an amazing game and some unstoppable moments but those moments don't define the entirety of a series. I look at everything and Mutumbo was the consistently impactful person on those Bucks. Not just scoring but I'm talking about everything and especially the defense which is what those 76ers were actually elite atX

I acknowledged he had a good series but you are overdoing it with this Iverson just sat on his ass on defense. Was he elite no. Did he try, yes. There was a game I believe against the Pacers where he had 10 steals. I think that was a playoff record. He wasn't just waiting to play offense.

In every advanced measurable metric IT has been better AI in his half season so far. I just can't believe the jump he made. I didn't think he could be a top option exclusively night after night.

I don't think any one would argue that AI was a superior talent though. And he played under the old handchecking rules where defenders were allowed to hold and grab and bump him every night.

With the free flowing game now Iverson would be devastating today...and without the physicality he would have free reign to attack.

He"d most likely be a lot more efficient in today's game.

And as great as AI was he could have been even better. He had elite passing and playmaking skills that he just didn't use enough

In Iverson defense he never played with the offensive talent it4 has on his squad except when they where :flabbynsick: or melo.

probably because he was incapable of playing with other scorers.

only way AI could a ring is if he played with tim duncan

Top 4 PG's in the league.

If Harden is counted as a PG,then he goes between Russ and Curry

Lmao wut? Isaiah typically sees soft-doubles until the second half and will see hard doubles if he starts heating up. A lot of Smart's easy post ups and Horford's open shots is the result of defenses being keyed in on IT.

Figure out IT? He's been leading the league in 4th quarter scoring. He's been tearing through multiple elite defenses and slicing through entire teams to get to the rim.

IT still averaging almost as many PPG on drastically higher efficiency, almost 10 less minutes, and more assists. You don't think that's crazy?
